Watched the first five minutes of this on my lunch break and it looks really interesting.

The GL III seems to have a similar hammering to the Air Max 87 of recent years….so many colourways and not many of them very good in my opinion. Sneaker Freakers Alvin Purple make up on the other hand is a stone cold classic for me. The mix of materials, and colour blocking make it one of my faves….this might be controversial, but I think it’s even better than Solebox’s effort (sorry Hikmet ;-))

If you’ve not heard of my good mate who goes by the name Iconic:a you soon will do. His work is getting some serious attention over in Aus and it won’t be long before he’s blowing up over here in his native Europe. This latest Mario character set is another example of his stunning talent.
If you’ve got some spare cash, hit him up for a commission….it’ll be a sound investment in my opinion.

I know the materials aren’t up to the original or even the ’99 retro, the cement print is different, the shape isn’t quite the same and the all important (to some) Nike Air is replaced with the ubiquitous Jumpman, but I love the colourway/shoe combo so much that I had to have them.
So, last Friday night I was stuck in front of my computer screen for two hours trying to get a couple of pairs (I had to have a pair to break out in a few years time)…..in the end, despite the slow servers over at Crooked, I managed to get the confirmation emails and I went to bed happy.
I’m a happy bunny right now
A perfect birthday present from my good pal Blanch….the Fila Footpatrol Trailblazers are a dope collaboration that had far too little coverage from the usual bloggershpere/media outlets IMO.
