Having used up the last of my business cards at Saturday’s 6Acre event, I thought it was time to get a new design together, to fit with the new look of the blog.
As ever, I have to send out a massive thanks to the ever talented Kwills for the logo design.
Last Saturday saw the inaugural 6Acre event, and the turn out was awesome….unfortunately though, the turn out was so good that I didn’t get the chance to take many pictures at all….every time I tried to go for a wander and take some snaps, I was called back to my table….I can’t really complain though, at least people were spending and I cleared some space for a few new pairs.
Massive thanks to the guys at 6Acre for putting on a top class event, the boys from Soleheaven for giving away some awesome prizes to five lads and lasses rocking the best pairs….Kish Kash for selecting, not only my Stussy Huaraches as the winner in the lads category, but also choosing my Mrs’s OG Air Craft as the winner in the gals section.
Such an awesome idea….would have loved to have witnessed it in person….I bet it was truly EPIC.
RIP Ayrton…you are sadly missed.
When the Adidas AZX series dropped way back in 2008, the whole range was positively received, with certain shoes becoming instant hype magnets. There were, however a couple that seemed to pass relatively under the radar…this ‘Kendo’ ZX800 being one of them. Designed by the proprietors of the now sadly defunct Kendo in LA, the shoe features lush grey and purple suede and gold /// just to set the shoe off….a massively underrated collaboration in my eyes.
Largely slept on when it dropped in the premium Italian produced NRG version, the Inneva woven takes over 8 hours to hand weave, making it a truly hand made piece. The subsequent SP version released in both black and blue was more widely hyped even though it was produced in China and therefore the quality wasn’t quite as good. This Mine Grey / Orange variant didn’t initial shout out ‘must buy’….it was only when the TIA shots started to filter through that I realised, it was a shoe I needed in my collection.
Not a massively limited release, but selling fast, head over to Nike’s WEBSITE where there are still a couple of sizes still available.
Arguably the best city in the world for street photography, New York certainly seems to breed some characters (on both sides of the lens). Everybody Street
features just a few of the crazy cats that have manage to eek out a living from shooting the Big Apples hustle and bustle.
I can’t wait to see the full feature, but at the same time I am at a loss as to why Henry Chalfant isn’t one of the featured photographers.
I wasn’t lucky enough to be invited/win an invite to Sole Heavens
launch party for the Le Coq Sportif
‘Summer Bay’ Eclat, but this video certainly shows that the people lucky enough to attend, enjoyed some good old seaside summer vibes.
Head over to the Sole Heaven BLOG for some really nice stills from the event.
