Adidas really are on a roll at the moment…delving into their back catalogue of 90’s technical runners is turning out to be a good move by the house of ///. This, Tent Green colourway of the classic silhouette is an absolute banger in my eyes, and one that everyone should try and hunt down if they can. Adidas designers, at least for me, seem to have a really good eye for colour choice as well as effective blocking that doesn’t interfere with the lines of the model it’s applied to (something that hasn’t been so prevalent with other marques certain releases of late).
MORE IMAGES AFTER THE JUMP
It took me a while, but I eventually managed to pick up a pair of the excellent BAIT Gel Saga Phantom Lagoons. I’ve probably said it before, but anything aqua or purple always grabs my attention but if they are both included on a classic silhouette, I’m sold. Whilst this release was limited, it was produced in enough numbers to ensure that there are plenty about on the reseller market and the prices aren’t that high….if you get the chance I would recommend picking a pair up….I certainly would consider a double up if the chance comes my way.

When these first dropped I was put off by the fact that animal print was being hyped on by the kids…I grew to regret my decision. So, when I say that they good people over at CONSORTIUM had them on sale, I couldn’t resist picking them up for a bargain price….they still have a couple of pairs left if you want to go grab your own pair.
COUPLE MORE PICS AFTER THE JUMP
A couple of years ago, I thought there were a few shoes from the Adi archive that I would never end up owning again….the Integral S, the Tech Super and this, the EQT Support in the original colourway. This, it seems, is a problem myself and a number of other runner heads won’t have to deal with moving forwards, as Adidas, are delving deeper and deeper into their runner back catalogue and treating us to some amazing older silhouettes and colourways……KEEP IT COMING /// I SAY!!!!
I stupidly passed on these when they dropped around 2006 so I was ecstatic when my good buddy Glen offered me a deadstock pair in my size. The leather is unbelievable and the orange pops like a mo fo.
Huge thanks going out to my man Marko for the hook up on these Stussy Huaraches. I had the oranges a while ago, but had to let them go as they were too small, so I’m really glad to now have them in a size that fits better, and as a bonus the greens as well.
This shoe created some not insignificant hype…..it’s really nice to see a shoe being appreciated for the fact that it’s a solid colourway as opposed to a limited collaboration. Thanks God I held off from buying them, as I was lucky enough to find them for retail.
