If you don’t know Benji Blunts work, you need to head over to his website and check out his skills. His work is truly next level, with an attention to detail that isn’t often seen in this age of disposable everything. For this project he’s customised some Superstars for B-Girl Terra, and amazingly talented breaker (check out her skills HERE).
Watch this space for an up and coming project that Benji is going to be working on for me…..
The legend that is Tony Hawk has collaborated with The Man, The Myth: Gonz to release an 80s inspired guest board on Krooked. Good to see Tony getting properly into the spirit and throwing down an 80’s run in his hideous retro board shorts.
As much I rue the loss of most true independent sneaker stores in the UK, I’m glad that JD have kept the Footpatrol
name going, and employed such a nice chap as Jimmy to head up the store. In this short video, Lester Jones (I dig your sole man
) documents some of Jimmys’ thoughts on the retail space, and eludes to what’s in store for the brand in 2014.
The one piece of music kit I (and many others) have longed to own is the legendary Roland TB-303. If you’re lucky enough to find one, you’re looking at paying over a grand…and the likelihood is that, due to the age, it will be pretty beat up.
Roland have finally listened to fans and developed a range of updated kit based on legendary back catalogue pieces, one of which is the Aira TB-3…and it’s pretty special, so if anyone fancies buying me a belated birthday gift….. 😉
A mate of mine, Bear
, is slowly venturing into the world of video after learning the ropes on the still side of photography. Capitalizing on the recent stormy weather over here in the UK, he and his son headed over to the coastal town of Blackpool to document precedings. I think you’ll agree he’s managed to capture some pretty cool footage, and the inspired choice of using a classic Aphex Twin track for the score really adds something special.
